Psalm 23 ( The Lord is My Shepherd)
The shadows are long and the valley is deep
But You are the promise my heart’s gonna keep
I’m resting my head where the tall grasses grow
By the side of the water where still currents flow
You restore every piece of a soul that was torn
In the light of Your mercy I’m being reborn
I have stumbled through canyons where silence is loud
Chasing a shadow lost in the cloud
My spirit is weathered my strength is a thread
But You’re the architecture of the path up ahead
You don’t just watch me You walk in my dust
In the wreckage of maybe You’re the only I trust
The Lord is my Shepherd and I shall not want
Though the ghost of my failure is all that would haunt
He leads me by waters that quiet the soul
Where the broken is gathered and the jagged is whole
Yeah I’m finally whole
You’ve set out a table in front of my foes
A cup of such grace that it just overflows
I’m anointed with oil I’m covered in peace
The grip of the desert has found its release
The cup isn’t steady it’s hitting the floor
Cause Your more than enough is so much more than more
I will fear no evil
I will fear no death
With Your rod and Your staff
In my very last breath
Surely Your goodness is hunting me down
Surely Your mercy is wearing the crown
Surely the darkness is losing its ground
Surely the lost and the broken are found
The Lord is my Shepherd and I shall not want
In the face of the darkness Your promise I’ll flaunt
Surely Your love is the wind in my sail
Surely Your promise will never ever fail
Surely the valley is a path to the light
Surely the morning is breaking the night
Surely Surely Surely Surely
Your grace is the rhythm Your heart is the home
Surely I’m never ever alone
Surely Surely Surely Surely
It’s wearing the crown
Surely Surely Surely
Surely Your goodness is hunting me down
Surely Your mercy is wearing the crown
The Lord is my Shepherd and I shall not want
He leads me in paths that are ancient and true
Everything that I need I have found it in You
Surely
Surely
Surely
Surely
I will dwell in Your house
Forever
Amen
